In the Methodist Church the Circuit exists to support the life of the Local Church in worship, mission and service.
We have a Circuit leadership Team consisting of three Ordained Ministers, an Administrator, and five Lay Circuit Stewards.
We meet regularly to encourage each of our churches to move away from merely maintaining congregations and buildings to find effective ways of sharing God's transforming love within their local communities, to sustain meaningful and relevant worship, and to help people to grow in their faith.
Local churches are encouraged to seek out, and respond to, outreach opportunities within their communities, and to work ecumenically with other local churches, wherever possible.
